Sketches: Compas Rose

Ok...I was not supposed to stay up this late.....OOOOooooppppssss....

But on the other hand, I successfully changed the design of the blog (it took way longer than I expected, and still not perfectly satisfactory. I really like the cafe chalkboard feel, but I also feel like the background is a bit too messy, but it looks too empty without the chalk...oh dilemmas), and Culturally and I were also working on another aspect of the web, which will, hopefully, be updated very soon.

I can't believe it's Saturday already though, it feels like I only just started spring break (oh wait, technically that's true, because my break didn't officially begin, now that I think about it, until after my assignment of taking care of the family friend). So much to do still, but hopefully, I won't lose too much sleep....again.

Well then, I wish you all a good night...and off to greet the sandman.

P.S. I used to draw compass roses all the time when I was younger (I think it was 7th grade when I started? oh nostalgia...) and it is one of my symbols that I like to use. My other three artistic signatures are the pocket watch (or other forms of clocks if I feel like it), Faberge eggs (I became quite obsessed with them by 10th grade, but only started to draw them more in recent years), and the near-victorian-swirls (seen in the chalkboard background design). I feel like these four things helped me create my style, and I've grown quite attached to them (ideologically...I guess)...
