Hey everyone! This piece is another high school art piece. It is a glass mosaic with white grout mounted wood. The interesting thing

about this piece is that I had to make it three times because of a series of unfortunate events. The original was mounted in cement so that it could be a stepping stone. Unfortunately my art teacher placed a heavier stepping stone on top of mine before the cement had fully set so it literally crumbled to pieces. As you can imagine I was pretty upset because it had taken over two weeks of class to design, cut and place each piece of glass. I then decided to remake it but it was half destroyed the seconded time when I had to flip it to mount it on the wood board. But it finally worked out and it ended up looking much better than the original. This piece just made me realize that you can learn from failure and that sometimes failure can lead to a greater achievement.Thanks for following the blog!
