District of Columbia

Life of Pie
well-inked update 11/15/2013

Oooooh Congress.......get some real work done, yo!!!! -___-

Anyway.  Last Saturday my friend and I went on a day trip to DC....and we walked....a lot....so tired....also took a lot of pictures.  And then we went to visit her friends' baby suuuper cuuuuute!!!!!!

Speaking of babies.  I thought this was hilarious because it's the little pond/fountain thing in front of Congress, but it was mostly empty because it's getting too cold.  BUT THESE DUCKS.....they were just chilling in a little puddle off to the side hahahaha I was like...are you lost?!

Moving on: sculpture garden!!!!!
I don't remember what that^ was called but it was cool looking.
And this, below, is called "Typewriter Eraser."
I think this one is pretttttyy self explanatory.  For you non-French speaking people (myself included) "amor" means love.

NEXT UP: Famous things!  Haha.

This, in case you are not familiar with national....famous things.....is the Washington Monument.  Due to an earthquake a few years ago, it's currently under construction because some of it started falling apart T~T

Aaaaand this, ladies and gentlemen, is my friend Abe.  I'm sorry I couldn't get a bigger picture...my camera is dying.  Also, other people in outside of the memorial were taking pictures of the building so I totally did not photobomb.  I apologize if you see my beautiful face invading pictures you took that day...

AND FINALLY: war memorials T~T  There were a lot of veterans because this past Monday was Veterans' Day, and it was pretty cool to see all of them dressed up in their dress uniforms with all their decorations, and sharing stories and taking pictures.

This was part of the World War II memorial.  I didn't really understand how it was set up, so if you know, let me know down in the comments!

MY HOMELAND just kidding but not really + more fountains.

We didn't have time to go see the Korean War memorial, but we did get to the Vietnam War memorial. You can take rubbings of people's names on a sheet of paper and it's pretty cool. There were more vets here than at the WWII one.

It was a pretty emotional day for everyone.  A lot of people had been flown in, because they were wearing "Honor flight" (or something) lanyards.  This one Vietnam vet was taking rubbings of his friends' names T~T

But it was cool.  It's a lot cleaner than Philly....probably because they can't risk making a bad impression on foreigners or even people from within the US haha.

Tomorrow I'm going to NY!!! INFINITE'S PERFORMING but I'm poor so I do no have tickets T~T  but I will fangirl in my corner, dreaming of them.......muahahaha.....just kidding.

Farewell, fraaaaandz.
well-inked
