well-inked update 10/25/2013
Ohhh hey. Just, you know, 9 feet tall and not as bendy as I look.
So these pictures are from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, or PAFA. It's pretty cool but it was also expensive T~T but yay for student discounts. Awww yeah.
The main feature was a scattering of works by KAWS, an artist based in Brooklyn: sculptures, paintings, lots of interesting stuff. And it was an interesting contrast between all the classical art and the more modern installation.
Sooo like this.
Yes, that is supposed to be Jesus. Right behind these really tall sculptures.
It's a painting! Yay.
These are the Kimpsons.
Aaand this is a violin. Just in case you didn't know.
I just thought it was pretty.
This hallway had KAWS' paintings on both sides.
From their watercolor gallery
It was a really pretty gallery to go through. There was a lot of older paintings, and stuff you'd expect to see in a museum, but it was a really fun pairing of the old and new art.
Yay!
cheers,
well-inked
PS: I realized my posts aren't on the right day, mainly because lately I've been overzealous in being prepared before Cuckoo Clock scolds me (again) and because there's an hour time difference...oh well....
