Armadillo Lizard

Project The Filing Cabinet
Update 09/22/13

Hey all this piece was done for my new color theory course.

The idea was to create a 11 step grayscale and then match 11 colors to that scale and use these 22 options in a compositions in such a way that there are at least 1 edge that shows the matched grayscale and color. I had a lot of fun sneaking my matches in so I have more than 11 matches. The concept behind this piece is more educational. This is an armadillo lizard and they are close to being because of us. It is not habitat destruction or even that too many are being killed by humans their endangerment is because of the pet trade. I just find this really sad because there are ways to have a pet trade without harming the entire population.
Anyways I hope you enjoy this, and you might see another revamp of this in the future so I can fix some of the mistakes I made.
Thanks for following the blog,

Ambrosia Lake

(This piece is also actually from a while back, but because I lacked the interwebs and haven't been able to teach Ambrosia Lake how to update...it's kind of been hiding in my email for a while...oops
