Welcome to Culturally's sketchbook series: C.Sketch.Jpeg! All the little things from my sketchbook is going to go here. My amateur doodles ahahaha. But anywayyyy...
Inky and I are finally back from our retreat, I hope that Cuckoo hasn't been too lonely. I was laughing at Cuckoo's sad little descriptions (bitterly?) stating how much fun Inky and I were having. I sense some resentment at us leaving her for a week. Ahaha.
But yeah, so before I head out to karaoke with Inky and some other friends, I'll post some doodles from my sketchbook that I've been doing this past week while at the retreat. Being on "vacation" is really great for getting over artistic block.
Badically, (yes badically), this is the result of a week at camp <3
"The Voices in My Headphone"
Pen & Ink
This piece was done with the idea that there are many voices and whispers that try to influence us on a daily basis yet there is one that makes things a little clearer (?) sometimes. At least that's what I want in my head. Phones.
"Hello, My Name Is"
Pen & Ink
Inspired by the Matthew West song "Hello, my name is". Also partly inspired by the fact that we had to make name tags at the camp we were at but the line is based off the first line of the chorus. It's a very catchy song I suggest you guys give it a go: "Hello, my name is..."
"Tree or Knowledge of Good and Evil"
Watercolor
Literally done for the purpose of this program that I was doing at the camp. I was given this little elementary set of watercolor hahaha and this kind of happened. I'm in love with cold colors, they just blend so easily.
"Emotional Snacking"
Pen & Ink
Emotional snacking...doing things that feel really good for a moment but it's not a full meal. You never feel satisfied.
"Trinity's Hook"
Colored Pen
A version of one of my friend's clever little invention. This friend is "Thousand Sunny". Haha, yes that boat from the anime "One Piece". He did a little pencil version during the camp and I just readapted it in color!
Well, there you go. Some of my latest sketches. I bought a little journal/sketchbook today while out with Inky and Cuckoo, so I hope that I can share more of my deeper thoughts and mindless doodles as the summer goes on.
Love you all and talk to you soon!
